Hi! My name is Alyssa! I live, love, and do therapy in my beautiful hometown of San Diego, California. I am intensely proud of being a native San Diegan, I love fish taco Tuesdays, my crazy amazing family, being a parent, and sunsets over La Jolla Shores. I am pretty private on the internet, but meet me in person and I am an open book!
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I graduated from UCSD with a degree in Communication, and then earned my Masters in Clinical Psychology through Azusa Pacific University. My postgraduate studies included being a therapist at a rehab for women and children and working with some of the most severe adult mental health cases in northern San Diego through a community full-service partnership as a co-occurring disorder specialist. I have also worked in
a hospital setting where I gained a passion for suicide awareness and prevention. I volunteer my time providing suicide awareness and prevention training for non-profit organizations.
I love being a therapist! Seeing my clients work on issues and grow into the lives they want has been my favorite part of the job! Love changes things, and life can be even better if you are willing to make small changes in the most impactful places.
